Corporate Overview
Dimension Data aims to use technology as a way to connect individuals, communities, small businesses, large enterprises and government. To achieve this mission, they are investing in education, learnerships, graduate programmes and entrepreneurship development, expanding the opportunities for South Africans to become economically active.
Since the Dimension Data Saturday School started 25 years ago, over one thousand students have been tutored in Maths, Science and technology skills with a record 100% pass rate. Once such graduate is Thabiso Motha, who first scored only a 30% on an Algebra test when he was in Grade 11. By attending the Saturday School he graduated with seven distinctions, went on to study BSc Mining Engineering at Wits University, and is now both a Saturday School tutor and a participant in Dimension Data’s Graduate Accelerator Programme.
Enterprise Development is also a key focal area for the multinational, where it supports entrepreneurs like Nkululeko Silimela to nurture their start-ups and ultimately work together in value-chain partnerships; enabling these growing enterprises to leverage the Dimension Data network and Di Data, to access new clients and markets.
