Corporate Overview
As a food manufacturing business, Tiger Brands has been able to help feed thousands of individuals each month by providing nutritious food parcels and collaborating with food security organizations. While doing this, Tiger Brands are teaching communities to be self-sustainable.
Vusumuzi Hlongwane, head of Thulani Dlamini Home-based Care, called for the assistance of Tiger Brands after seeing the starvation in South Africa, where almost twelve million people go to bed hungry each night.
Tiger Brands then began to nurture and nourish his community by providing well-balanced food parcels designed by a nutritionist to feed families with four to six members for a month. Their work with organisations like Thulani Dlamini, Love to Give, and Food and Trees for Africa has allowed them to assist in feeding more than 30,000 people monthly, impacting more lives each and everyday.
The business has also been able to teach communities how to be self-reliant with their own food production by showing them organic farming practices and helping to modernise their food gardens.
Tiger Brands is at the forefront of creating sustainable communities and feeding thousands of individuals.
